- Second carbon pre-filter (5-micron).
- Reverse osmosis membrane. Puronics lists reduction of sodium, selenium, arsenic, nitrates and nitrites, lead, copper, cadmium, and hexavalent and trivalent chromium (if present), plus pharmaceuticals. Treated water is held in a sealed tank.
- Carbon block post-filter.
- Alkaline post-filter.

Tank or tankless: which should I choose?
The Pur-Alkaline stores treated water in a tank and needs no power. The WÜDR Tankless RO 800 and Tankless RO 600 are tankless and need an outlet. See tankless vs. tank RO.
Does it need electricity?
No. It runs on your household water pressure.
What does the alkaline stage do?
It is the sixth and final stage, after the carbon block. It changes the taste profile of the water.
Can it be used on well water?
Often, but well water should be tested first. Iron, hardness or sediment may need treatment before the RO system.
How much does it cost?
